About the AFE

The Association of Food Economists (AFE) is the American Association of Wine Economists' (AAWE) food division. It is dedicated to encouraging and communicating research and analysis and exchanging ideas concerning food economics and gastronomy.

Members of AAWE-AFE are social scientists from around the world -- in academia, business, government, and research. Benefits of Individual Membership include an individual subscription to the Journal of Wine Economics and member rates on conference participation and journal manuscript submission. AAWE-AFE also extends Institutional Membership to academic institutions, business firms, and other organizations that share AAWE-AFE's objectives and wish to provide special opportunities for their delegates to participate in AAWE-AFE's activities.
